"Unless the Lord builds the House, It will not stand".
This dream began long before August of 2000. Long before "Phase I, II, or III" were ever thought of. The dream, yea vision, of a new school building and then possibly a new sanctuary as well, grew from a desire to see our God's name lifted high in the Columbus community and our children being "taught of the Lord". Many hardworking, dedicated, and faithful members have closed their eyes in eternal bliss without seeing this day transpire. I am so thankful that you did not let their dreams, visions and desires rest with them.
Here at New Bethel SDA Church we are celebrating the fulfillment of many prayers. We are remembering those who kept hope alive and the fire burning in our hearts. We are acknowledging that we serve a Greater Being who is able to take the impossible and make it possible.
New Bethel (Shepherd Drive), you had a dream and a vision and with the determination to allow God to use you to accomplish His Will. You permitted me and my family to be a part of making your dream and vision a reality.
Thanks be to God for those of you who never gave up the struggle, never stopped believing, never quit working. Your determined effort helped give the energy to press on and now we can celebrate together how good God is. We can celebrate here in these new buildings that God has given us.
So always remember, "Faith, Faith, Faith, needs a little faith. If you ain't got a lot, just use what you got. Faith, Faith, Faith".
TO GOD BE THE GLORY, FOR THE GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE................
